I nominate my Grandpa, Oscar Ross, for one of my many Cancer Heroes. Grandpa Ross was born Nov. 17, 1889, and passed away Nov. 12, 1976. at his home in Piketon, Ohio.
Grandpa was a Private in the U.S. Army and served in France during 1917-1918. Grandpa fought a BRAVE BATTLE with liver/pancreatic cancer way before research and treatments that we have; and the things we know today. Now that I have also had cancer, I truly know what a WARRIOR he was.
I am nominating Grandpa Ross to honor him and to bring awareness to ALL kinds of cancer. I don't want to leave anything unsaid or undone.
I am so thankful to RACING 2 CURE, who is helping to spread awareness which will help with early diagnosis, helping individual patients and families, and funding research for ALL cancers! WE MUST FIND A CURE!
