I would like to nominate my mother Laura Trzcinski as a Racing 2 Cure Hero. Mom was born on June 24, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio to Charles and Norma Wagoner. She is the oldest of five girls. She is a 1965 graduate of the former Whtney High School, in Toledo.
Mom went on to marry my father Dan in May of 1967, and had two children, Michael (me) and Matthew. She also has three beautiful grandchildren, Nicholas, Dylan, and Paige.
My mom worked her whole life in finance and banking. First she worked many years at a local bank. Then she went on to work for over 25 years at the St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. She was the assistant manager of the hospitals credit union and was still working up to the time of her diagnosis with cancer. My mother loved her work and dealing with the public. Leaving her job early due to illness I think is one of the toughest things she had to do. She also holds a postilion on the Loan and Grant Committee in Bedford Township Michigan, a position which she still holds.
So I would like to nominate my mother as my cancer hero. I asked mom before I nominated her and she gave me her approval. Mom is all for anything that helps raise awareness for cancer or helps others with her condition.
I would like to thank Racing 2 Cure for all that you do to help people who have cancer. I would also like to thank my good friend NASCAR Whelen All American Series driver Jack Hall. He asked me to nominate my mom and he has a couple of special things he would like to do for her. Jack has been a great friend to me, and I and my family both owe him a huge thank you for his concern.
My family and I would like to ask that all donations made in my mothers name to be made through Jack Hall`s page.
