In 2012 Juli was diagnosed with breast cancer, it was not only a shock to her but even more so an emotional toll. She questioned how it would affect the rest of her life not knowing what would happen. She had mastectomy thinking only a portion of her breast would be removed. But this was not the case. After the surgery the incision point became infected and there were yet more surgeries which turned into a double mastectomy and skin grafts to repair surgery areas. This was the hardest battle of her life, while still continuing to go through these surgeries she continued on to go to work. She has fought the fight and offers a kind word to those out there. Quoting "Never give up, fight the fight, and be a voice for all those who have came before you with cancer, those still fighting and for those who have lost their fight.
This woman has shown me and others that no matter what there is in her life that there is always someone who is there to help you and get you through something in your life. Throughout everything she continued to work and strive to make sure that others were ok with the situations in their lives. Without even batting an eye she would stand beside you and not once want you to show her sorrow for her situation. She works for the state of Nebraska and has shown me that even at the lowest points in your life regardless of what is going on that you can still pick yourself right up and keep fighting the fight.
